Keep your eyes peeled on the grand Union canal!

Hi all my friend Graeme is currently walking from Walsall to Wembley for Walsall Society for the blind, he set off on Saturday and will arrive in Wembley this Saturday walking a total of 138 miles, he will be walking on the grand Union canal most of the way he needs all the support he can get so if you happen to pass him please do give him a cheer (and any spare change!) you can't miss him he's a big guy and will be wearing a red coat and hat and has a big flag too :) HES currenlty around Daventry I believe, feel free to have a look at his blog www.walsalltowembley.com thanks xx

. If I were you I would probably put this in the general boating section it's much busier there and more likely to get your friend the support he needs,good luck

I saw him just now!

 

I shouted after him, coz I was on the opposite side of the canal and I wanted to make a donation but he had his headphones in! Tried walking after him, still shouting, but he was too fast for me, and I'm not exactly known for my athleticism.

 

I got to the bridge and lobbed a stone at him - still no response! :rolleyes: Ended up doing a wheezing, skip-jog-walk-Quasimodo-gait thing until I could grab him and stop him in his tracks and give him some money!

 

He's walking from Linslade to Berkhamsted tomorrow, so look out for him - he's wearing red and has a sort of flag sticking out the top of his rucksack.
