Manly question about socks

now socks that's a sensible subject come Xmas and I always think of my Granny and mum when she got older

Anybody wear sock suspenders? I don't but wonder how practical they are. Being an old git I've taken to wearing braces in the winter, stops having to keep oiking trousers up and allows trousers with plenty of room for movement. Downside is having to take coat/jumper off to sit down in a cold public toilet!

IMHO socks have to be knee length....with just enough to turn over but never over the knee.... one can get quite obsessive about this

As one gets older, braces become more attractive as the bending down required for much boat maintenance is conducive to further hernia type damage when relying on just a belt.

I'm ashamed to say that I did, in the 60s though, thats my excuse.

You can get military suspenders, a clip on elastic strap that connects socks and bottom of shirt, keeps one down and the other up.

That was a good film though where the Northampton cobblers made the stiletto shoes for transvestites and saved the firm.

It is only expected that ladies would come into this post after so many men invaded their post unless it is to talk about their love of socks for they can be definitely unisex .
