BMC hard to start, could it be the timing?

Newer model engines don't need so much oil, 20% castor oil, 30% either and 50 % kerosene (or solvent naphtha/white spirit) is a good blend.

I have a Enya 60 FS (10cc) that I converted to a diesel, with new cylinder head, and new valves, and one old Webra 2,5 diesel.

Well, mine was a water cooled ED Racer, 2.46 cc in a 34.5" RAF crash tender. No R/C just a fairly large fuel tank that allowed it to run for 20 minutes on the plane in circles. Great fun. Only gave the hull away about a year ago
