as these buildings are in the same small block, I would expect RCR's offices to have been severely affected. Not good for them sad.png

Unfortunately this is the event of this evening at River Canal Rescue. Please bare with us at this time. We will do our upmost best to keep everything as smooth as possible. Our database is still up and running online, remember if you need us in an emergency, please call, 01785 785 680. We have lost alot of stock tonight but our engineers will do our best to attend calls. Kind regards.

Apparently they've lost all their chandlery, but the database is safe.

I see Stephanie Horton is due to speak at the NABO AGM on some of their unusual call outs. Looks like she might have other tales to tell now. Best wishes to them, anyway, it's a unique service.

The mind boggles at all those RCR engineers running around in the nude!

And of the thought of the many forum members who've accepted their invitation to join in. A new dimension to fireside frolics. Beware sparks and carpet burns!

I'd be very surprised if there's anything left of the RCR offices. Look here, pic of the site of the blaze:

and here, RCR offices:

How terrible.

Stephanie Horton is on the BBC News website as having been treated for Smoke Inhalation.

Two lives lost...simply dreadful.

From posts on Facebook, it appears that RCR are up and working again. Well done to everyone at RCR to be up and functioning again so quickly at such a difficult time.

I hope everyone will have patience with them whilst they get to grips with this awful incident.
