Dead In The Water

what do ya think.

You may want to consider what the name may sound like when you use the radio, and, repeat the name three times.

"XYZ lock this is Dead In The Water, Dead In The Water, Dead In The Water, we have an engine problem and we are Dead In The Water, - Dead In The Water over"

"This is XYZ lock - please repeat you boat name and the nature of your problem - XYZ over"

No other boats listed with that name (which quite surprised me).

Both Ellie Goulding and David Gray have recorded songs with that title.

Apart from that just be careful what you wish for tongue.png

I was shrugging at alan, not at anyone elses replies, dead on arrival was quite funny.

Yes I know who you were shrugging at......

He was saying he didn't find ISIS as a boat name particularly appealing.....your 'shoulder shrug' implies you couldn't care less.

I was saying fair enough call your boat ISIS...

Happy boating.

There are currently in excess of fifty boats listed by Jim Shead named Isis.

Isis - the name given to the River Thames as it flows through Oxford.

I think that it is sad that perfectly acceptable names are high jacked ( no pun intended) by and only associated with terrorist organisations.

A bit like the word "gay" has been annexed by the homosexual community. I remember a hire boat company based in Tewksbury using the name "Gay Cruisers". Their boats typically were Gay Cavalier, Gay Mariner and the like. Imagine the derision if they were still in business today.
