Good evening all,

As some of you know, we are having a bit of a life change. For a while now we have been thinking long and hard about our future, and an oppurtunity has arisen, at the right time, so we grabbed it and are following the flow!!!!

We have decided to purchase the ex Hotel Boat pair "Oak" and "Ash", and are going to make it our new home.

These are the boats on the once infamous Reverend, Martin Reed, and are still signwritten as such. However, around the 21st October we will be moving them to Milton Keynes, so please say hello, don't run away thinking he is still on them!!! We're a bit more approachable to say the least!

So we're selling the house, and everything in it, and it's all happened in the space of 3 1/2 weeks! we've been on the market 48 hours and have several viewings lined up. Fingers crossed for a smooth move!!

So if anyone wants to buy a house near Lionhearts Cruising club, with an enormous workshop, check out the link!

Failing that we hope to see you all out and about, and if anyone is at Billing Marina, we'll be joining you shortly!

Regards

Dan

you might just!!

Thank you all for your kind words, it's all been a bit of a crazy 4 weeks since we first thought about it, but sometimes, you just have to jump, otherwise you might never know!

The girls are so excited, as they get their own cabin each, and a playroom!!

  • 2 weeks later...

Well, after a manic week, the boats are back in Milton Keynes and the house is sold!

Day one, Gloucester to Comberton Quay.

Day two, Comberton Quay to RSC, Stratford.

Day three, RSC Stratford to Tom 'o the Wood, South of Kingswood Junction

Day four, Tom 'o the Wood to Wolfhamcote

Day five, Wolfamcote to Cosgrove,

Then a gentle meander into MK!

With all the hold ups this ended up being a 5 day cruise, one day less than canalplan said!

Now to move everything!

An update.

We are now on the boats and have been for 3 weeks now.

The house sale completed last week so we are now officially debt free and loving life. Happy days!

Now all we need is a nice little bit of land and we can truly live the Good life!

Kind regards

Dan.
