I reckon that would do the job.

Another way would be with a 'flexible':

15mm compression end is a little cheaper and should go OK onto 15mm PEX pipe with a pipe insert and copper olive.

cheers, Pete.

Possibly. Otherwise something like http://www.plumbingplace.co.uk/hep2o-hx24-15-brass-adaptor-15x3-4-white.html sealed with ptfe or plumbajoint.

No, don't try anything with parallel threads that you attempt to seal with either PTFE tape or a jointing compound.

Best to leave that to sealing taper threads only - just don't ask me how I know this, though!

When I raised this before, I was assured that a tap connector was the way to go, (the seal then being to the flat end of the accumulator, with a washer, not by attempting to seal the threads.

Using a flexible tap connector as per smileypete's seems the way to go - and one day I will go back and change my own bodge, but probably not until it starts leaking!

That is pretty much the approach I had to take to the calorifier connections, which were parallel and too big for tap connector-type fittings. I agree it's not the best option though.

Yes but the spec of the accumulator says 3/4" BSP, so tap connector should fit it.
