Actually not a bad deal subject to weather and stoppages. Not too sure about the 'Skipper must not consume alcohol' though ...

I got a cheap deal on a three day hire last January, to try it out. It was stressful, rained the entire time, and I was sick for the next week having stood in the rain for three full days. However it didn't put me off in the slightest, and when one liveaboard boater came to our rescue after running aground and said "if you're enjoying yourself now, imagine how much you'll enjoy it when you're warm and dry in the summer", I was fairly sure this was the life for me.
