Cleaning Vetus 12 v toilet

Featured Posts

Sealand liquid will do the job.

(And I assume you are referring to the inside faces of the toilet bowl & rim?)

I am guessing that the most likely surface contaminants are chalk/scale and - um - staining.

I would start with using white vinegar, let it soak - until chalk/scale has dissolved - and then use bicarbonate of soda on a damp cloth.

Do not use bleach or 'Elsan Blue'.

Go for vinegar. It works.

Recently had to take ours apart because it wan't behaving. Culprit was a mix of hair that had collected a lot of chunky flakes of calcite. Once problem occurred, I discovered recommendation in user manual to remove build up at least once every 3 months. This is one of those times I wish I had read the user manual earlier! Would have saved on elbow grease and 'macerator Monday'
