We took Channel 4 News out on the boat yesterday filming around the aquaducts on the slough arm up to Cowley Peachey Junction.

They were quite surprised how remote some stretches of canal can be, so close to London.

 

While its probably a good hours cycle ride from brentford, it will hopefully be a timely reminder for folks using the canals in the area, and might jog their memory along with the reconstrucion today

Its every parents nightmare and the uncertainty of knowing what happened must be terrible, i guess deep down they feel she's gone for ever but without a body no closure. One hopes and prays she will be found alive and well but all to often in these situations there is tragic outcome. So sad.

It's so awful - I have a 14yr old and cannot begin to imagine the pain of just not knowing. I still find it difficult to believe that people can just simply disappear.
