Some Random Snaps From Trip to Little Venice

Took a return trip from Black Jacks Lock to Little Venice. Even though I know the area well by road this is first by canal - the best way to go. Here are a couple of random images. Not great quality as done on basic phone camera.

 

 

Horsenden Hill/Perivale stretch is suprisingly green for a London suburb surrounded by less celubrious areas.

 

 

 

 

Especially pleasing was passing over the dreaded North Circular Road - a road I've spend a few times on stuck in traffic.

 

 

 

 

 

Harrow Road - I love the position of these houses - if you look through the windows you can see the busy road about 25 feet from the canal.

 

 

 

 

 

Entrance into Brownings Pool, Little Venice - beautifull canal bridge.

 

 

 

Mrs 99 at Brownings Pool - it's a lovely space to spend time in on a summers day.

 

 

 

By geting in early, shuffling up and ending up breasted up (where we should not according to a sign) we managed to get into Paddington Basin. It's a great place to base yourself but bluddy windy! Quite a few others were not so lucky and went to find elsewhere to moor.

 

 

 

 

Nice bow of a famous boat. Gleaming brass too (out of shot).

 

 

Exit the Pool early doors to go past Regents Park.

 

 

 

 

Is there a better stretch of Inner City urban canal? and no one about.

Lovely photos. I did the Paddington Arm and Regent Canal for the first time earlier this year and enjoyed them both.
