junior
Are any forum members going to Foxton Locks Festival in a few weekends time? I'm planning on going, although the boat is still in Hawne Basin and will be for the next 8 days, so it'll be a bit of a mad dash for me. Does anyone know the score with mooring there usually? Do you have to book? Can you moor right in amongst the action or are you stuck out on a limb like the IWA thing in Cassio Park last year? I'm thinking of having a few non-boaty friends to visit, is there enough to keep non-boaters interested for a weekend? If there's plenty of forum members going I don't suppose we need to organise a banter, it'll probably just happen.

Redeye
Hi Bison is currently at Debdale Wharf and we will be heading up there on Friday 20th for the weekend, I think we are due to be moored at the top of the locks for the weekend of the festival. We booked in a couple of months ago but I'm not sure what the score is now. Look forward to seeing you there Andrew

Andrew I'm just the other side of Gumley Road bridge with the private boats. I had a walk down today and saw your reserved mooring, if my memory is correct you are first space at the top of the locks, pretty much on the lock landing. A few historic boats there already. SWIFT with 2 more old working boats breasted up, although I couldn't see who they were. RAYMOND & NUTFIELD are in attendance and LING & LINNET came past me early evening to take up their moorings. Look forward to seeing you and fingers crossed for warm weather!
