Thanks for the kind comments re Monty's new doors. I'd like to pick up on the vibrant colour comment. Successful canal painting cries out for strong colours, juxtaposed, to create the eye catching effect we painters love. To this end, I use Craftmaster flat colour, developed by my friend and colleague Phil Speight. Years ago we both used Keeps Intenso for this work but after a factory fire it became unavailable and Phil decided to produce something similar. If any of you fancy a dabble, try to use proper paint. The common alternative, Humbrol, isn't a patch on it!

 

 

I'm surprised no one has noticed David's unintentional mistake......the doors need transposing so that the half knots on the bottom panels make a complete knot when closed together.....a Mooreish trademark!
