A Triffic Tuesday ont' Trent

Just a thank you to one of our members . . mrsmelly!

A couple of weeks ago Mrs G&F and I were invited to be the Cap'n's guests on a daytime cruise on the Nottingham Princess.

And on Tuesday we joined him and his crew for an afternoon with the crinklies.*

*(passengers not staff)

Although Holme Lock being shut foreshortened the trip at one end, the squally weather more than made up for it - with the Cap'n fighting the crosswinds with a style and aplomb born of many years of boating.

Going though Trent Bridge was fun too!

I also understand the visibility problems one can experience when the Bridge is right above the bow of a 100 tonne bote!

A delightful lunch provided too - how some folks live - eh!

Tim - - sincere thanks!

I suppose Tim has to empty ALL of the Cassettes at the end of each trip?

He did once concede on here that PO was without question the best option on Nottingham Princess.

Shame Tim had decided to have a rest.

Enjoyed his posts.

Tim posted in a very similar way to how he spoke in real life. I only met him a few times but he spoke very much as he came across on here, direct and to the point.

That wrankles some on here who prefer dressed up flowery language......

I met Tim just the once. And yes, I agree about his real language.

Mind, I can see his point about someone like his good self being chastised in the way he describes.

I'm not aware of the Mod concerned.
