Can anyone recommend boat handling course in or near Wiltshire/Oxfordshire.

RYA offers Inland Waterways Helmsman Training . Courses all over the system, follow the link for details on the course and also locations where they can be taken! Good luck!

They are fun and learn loads but need to then practise cos forget oh so easily.

Can anyone recommend boat handling course in or near Wiltshire/Oxfordshire.

Do you have your own boat yet? Reason I ask is that I was planning on doing one of these courses, but as I was not fussed about getting a certificate I decided I would be much better getting someone to come out for a day with me on my own boat and show me how it is, rather than how the manual says it should be. I used a well respected forum member.

 

This course of action is not for everybody obviously and I have heard only good things about the RYA courses.
