mark99
Is the marina entrance (Sanderson Rd) just below Uxbridge Lock a public winding hole? Never been completely sure.
debbifiggy
No I don't think it is but just a bit further south by the road bridge near the Swan and Bottle there is a winding hole by the office block just north of the road bridge. mark99
OK thanks - The Nicholsons is on the boat not with me at the mo - IIRC it's indicated in there as a winding hole though?
Captain Zim
That one by the bridge might be a bit tight depending on boat size, no?
WJM
Whether it is 'public' or not, I don't think anyone is going to object if you turn a boat in it.
kbarber
We occasionally wind in the marina entrance when we do a day trip to the Swan & Bottle and no-one's ever objected. But we also go in there for fuel sometimes (winding in the process). If anyone notices us winding at all I guess they take the view being nice is more likely to get custom than making lots of objections.
