Can anyone recommend a good Internet store for buying bed linen for a 4ft matress? Most shops, e.g. Dunelm, seem to stock very little or nothing?

Presumably you're wanting a fitted bottom sheet? Otherwise you can use standard double size.

Try searching for Egyptian cotton sheets, they tend to be more regular in the 4 f/t size.

Egyptian cotton is far nicer too.

Their Egyptian cotton stuff was a very reasonable price when we bought a couple of years ago, look out for special offers, we bought ours on one and saved a heap of cash on high quality bedding.

might be on internet but Peaces in Witney do a good range in store a bit more expensive but are good quality. ones I brought on the internet bobbled up after a few washes

We have bed linen intended for 3 ft single and though not fitted sheets they do work very well for us, not as much tucking in spare but adequate

Dunelm do a 4ft fitted sheet, I bought one a few months ago.

Have you tried tk maxx? They have lots of odd bits of bedding.

Or if you have a mattress with those button types things on it, sew loops of wide elastic to the corners and hook them on the underside buttons. Good for keeping a too big sheet in place if you've already got ones you like.

Betterware or perhaps Kleenezzee sell "suspenders" for sheets to keep them in place. i uase them because OH is a restless sleeper and can detatch any sheet, fitted or not.
