Picked up an interesting spanner at the weekend:

TIMING CHAIN ADJUSTER

USE LIGHT HAMMER

 

7/8 BSW 1 BSF

 

 

Anyone any idea which Gardner it might be for?

I think that's the size on the early LWs where the timing chain adjuster was an eccentric rather than the later type with a lever tensioner.

I think that's the size on the early LWs where the timing chain adjuster was an eccentric rather than the later type with a lever tensioner.

 

They're all on an eccentric, but the later ones did have a handy lever and the run of the chain was changed. This is for the locknut, I think.
