Shallow waters

On my way to Ware when I was told that apparently its very very shallow at Waltham abbey and I shouldn't attempt it. I draw max 2'6 at the skeg and everywhere else about 2', most likely a bit less. Is it that shallow? Wide boat but still, I can't imagine it's impassable. Any one know? Thanks

Rubbish, nice deep moorings at Waltham Abbey. Middle of the cut no problem, we draw 2' 4'.

I went as far as Cheshunt last week. I am deep draughted and I had no problems.

Someone did that to me when I was about to go through Manchester, it was _ _ ssing down with rain at the time and I ended up with almost more water than I could cope with , so ever since I take a look and make my own decision.
