are these cheap solar panels ?

The domestic monos are often 808mm wide which is a bit narrower than the typical domestic poly ones, and can be had around ~82p/watt in the domestic sizes.

 

Navitron panels can be had as little as ~62p/watt, postage for one isn't too bad so they might work out better for one or two.

Hi

 

The Solar Panel is at a good price for 240W. But don't forget to consider the size and cost of the controller required. You will need an MPPT charge controller in the circuit and of course the cable size matters too. With these panels you will need to allow for small airflow under the panel, they are far more efficient when cooler.

 

I have 4 such panels and a Rutland 910 on my boat and I never have to run my engine for anything except to move. Great way of saving evermore expensive diesel.
