Hi ,

Spotted this at Sawley lock about 09.30 today.

A crew of SEVEN on their way to Redhill Marina on the river Soar.

Yes there was a butty breasted up to it ....................

Because sometimes it's a sensible precaution and when it's not then on your head is still the easiest place to leave it. I understand your point, there is a tendancy for PPE to be required even when it serves no purpose (hard hats in an 8" deep trench on "time team" for instance) which in my view is detrimental to safety as it encourages an attitude of invulnerability and substitutes for risk awareness.
