Tame Valley Canal, particularly mooring at Perry Barr top lock

Featured Posts

Spent a very quiet night at Perry Bar top lock last summer. The only disturbance was the grass cutting team early the following morning asking very politely if we would mind if they moved us up a boat's length so they could strim "our" bit of the towpath edge.

Not much, if anything, in the way of shops or pubs as far as I could see, though.

The locks were fine, part from having to fill one pund about half way up the flight. Fortunately the pound was so heavily silted that this didn't take long :-o
