Moored on lock/bridge moorings Grrr...

Just coming up to Plank Lane bridge & 2 boats moored up on bridge moorings, I walk up towards bridge & ask man near 1st boat if there is a problem with bridge ( cos there usually is!) he grunts a no

so why are you moored on bridge mooring then ( pretty obvious really as a workmate is by the boat & him fetching stuff from his car parked nearby) grunted reply along the lines of "so what"

2nd boat looks as if no-one aboard.

Walk up to operate bridge, put key in & it flashes " fault " ah, true to form then !! Ring C&RT & chat to lady on water point, discuss idiots on bridge mooring & she says "great, I,m a single hander & it's really difficult when I can't use the bollards, esp in this wind"

Had same a couple of days ago back at pagefield lock, wide bean snuggly moored on lock mooring bollards, though this time when I woke them up ( 9am) they did look confused & it was a very new boat so assume they just didn't know - though isn't it obvious.....

Anyway C&RT are one their way so hopefully we soon will be as well & I feel better for the rant!!
