RADIO MERSEYSIDE about 8-30 am today ,Tony Snell show had an article about a sea and air rescue craft from before the time sea and air rescue services came to be . The craft has been in the Leeds & Liverpool canal Rufford Branch sunk at Tarleton , it is to be brought back to life at I think Hooton Park , a couple have decided on the action with a view to retirement on it sailing coastal waters of the Uk and a broad , the site the work on the boat is being done at is an old airfield that trained many world war one pilots that the boat was built to rescue from the likes of the English channel.

EDIT TO ADD , The couple are doing the work themselves and estimate cost of about £150 grand.
