Prediction: ram removal coming up.

Hopefully with three boats already the buyer wasn't MTB!

I  really really hope you are wrong.

If it does come off, I think I really should get first refusal on it!

Yes but would you fit it to Sickle or keep it on land somewhere ?

I certainly wouldn't buy it just as a garden decoration - I already have an HA3 in my garage without adding to my ex ice-boat clutter!

The problem is I have just spent a small fortune having Sickle repainted in a livery that was only applied after Sickle lost the ram, so on balance I think I'd probably pass up the opportunity of owning said ram.

It isn't identical to that Sickle's would have been either, being braced at a different height up the hull.

You said you wanted first refusal on it.

ETA the bridge narrowing option seems quite a good option.

Whatever happens I would hope that people will still be able to see it. Obviously best if it remains on the boat..

A little birdie told me that the town class motor with the Perkins HD engine in it might be up for sale soon.

Rivetted hull claimed to date from 1910, but BSC says built by Harris, so maybe they shortened/motorised it.

Definitely a Project Boat:

It is worth reading the text of the advert for a bit of amusement...

For example....

" There has been interest by the backcountry museum"

and

" If once finished an completed authentically I believe it qualifies for license exemption"

(for which I guess you need to define "authentically"! ?)

"RIMA stans for Royal Academy for Magical Arts". Shurely shome mishtake here?

No no mistake, have you not read it?...

Quote

" R. I . M. A stands for the Royal Academy for Magical Arts an she had been previously owned Ali Bongo or Shriek of Araby,  William Oliver Wallace, the children's TV magician.  "

As I say, worth reading the whole text, if you haven't.

I'm still trying to work out if this is genuine, or a spoof!

Indeed I have, with considerable enjoyment. I noted that the previous boatyard owner would need removal, for example.

But I can't see how RIMA can stand for Royal Academy for Magical Arts. Can you?
