Oh but maybe we have hit on the real reason for all these vollies. So full sized RC boats can be legalised!!!!

I met a boat called Victoria Plum on the Llangollen about 6 years ago at a lock. I could see that the owner was partly disabled and offered to help him through the lock. He politely declined say that his boat had a remote control system. It was all hydraulic drive with both bow and stern thrusters. When he exited the lock he stopped the boat and used tthe bow and stern thrusters to move the boat sideways to the edge and off he went. It worked really well. I ask what happened if the transmitter or reciever packed up and he said it went into failsafe putting the engine in neutral.
