Tomorrow we're reloading with diesel and solid fuel. Over the next few days the schedule is as follows along the Bridgewater Canal

 

Thursday 6th

Reloading at Sale in the morning, local road deliveries in the afternoon.

 

Friday 7th

Sale to Lymm

 

Saturday 8th

Lymm Dickensian Festival and then onto Thelwall later in the day

 

Sunday 9th

Thelwall to Preston Brook through Grappenhall, Stockton Heath, Walton & Moore

 

Monday 10th

Return from Preston Brook to Lymm

 

Tuesday 11th

Lymm to Sale

Today Friday 21st December we're delivering from Oakgrove (Br49 Macc) through Macclesfield & Bollington to Poynton

 

Tomorrow Sat 22nd well be through Marple and along the Peak Forest towards Disley & Furness Vale.

 

On Sunday 23rd we'll be delivering around Whaley Bridge & Bugswoth

 

Finally on Christmas eve we'll be returning via Marple & Macc to Oakgrove.

Happy New Year CWDF'ers, Alton is all loaded & chugging from Macclesfield through Marple to Bugsworth & Whaley Bridge this weekend, then back again on Mon/Tues 7/8th Jan.

 

Then Wed & Thurs we are delivering by road to Hyde, Ashton & Manchester.

 

Fri 11th to Sunday 13th we'll be delivering by road to Congleton, Kidsgrove, Middlewich, Nantwich, Chester, Ellesmere Port, Anderton & River Weaver. We hope to cover these areas again by boat towards the end of the month (ice allowing).

just had a txt from callisto saying he wont be coming down the T&M as the trent was still in flood at arlewas so he has turned round and is heading to atherstone before the stoppages there, will be back on the T&M after the stoppages in march.

Excellent :-). The Macc has iced over here, but not too thick at the moment.

We spent all morning yesterday icebreaking on the Macc, but by lunchtime we'd only managed about a mile. So we admitted defeat & returned to the wharf. We're now delivering by road over the next few days to Bollington, Poynton, High Lane, Marple, New Mills, Bugsworth & Whaley Bridge. If you need supplies just get in touch on 07791345004.

This weekend we're trialling out Water Explorer http://www.waterexplorer.co.uk/ to show Coalboat Alton's progress on the round. We've also but a link on our blog, which will also hopefully regularlly update our location.

 

Over the weekend we're delivering from Oakgrove, through Macc, Bollington, Poynton, Marple to Bugsworth & Whaley Bridge.
