It only gets scraped off anyway....it stays 'soft' so you do not get sharp edged chips...and its cheap !! bob Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
ditchcrawler Posted August 28, 2011 Report Share Posted August 28, 2011 If I was going back to a blasted steel I would go for two pack black on the hull up to gunwale level, I know it fades a bit but it can always be overcoated with cheap black gloss when it does. Topsides I don't know as I had my boat painted a few years ago and within 18 months the paint was falling off the roof, painted on bare steel and micro blisters on the handrails, cants and other flat surfaces Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Topsides I don't know as I had my boat painted a few years ago and within 18 months the paint was falling off the roof, painted on bare steel and micro blisters on the handrails, cants and other flat surfaces I assume...if you went to bare metal....you will use an etch primer...otherwise...the paint will fall off the roof..and you will get micro blisters...
