I have the Victron, another benefit is that it can also charge the seperate starter battery (at a reduced ampage), but mine wasn't setup to do so, I wonder if many owners are also unaware that it can do so but it's not setup?

Mine is also installed so it doesn't benefit from upping the shore power, etc.

 

What was worse is that the original owner got a additional charger fitted to charge the starter and genset battery! I'm rewiring so will have a spare charger, but may install at the bow to charge the bow thruster battery's.
