Laurence Hogg
Notice that this is one of the few tugs with port holes and the high position compared to todays idea of central in the panel and evenly spaced Curiously this was common pratice on many early tugs, small opening lights at head height. "Early Bird", "Primus" and many others had them.
andywatson
Is it 'By Canal in the '50s', made by Videoactive? I was watching this last night and there is a lot of colour footage of Stentor as a pleasure boat, in the early fifties. It's based on film shot by Ralph Lee, with a commentary added and comments from assembled waterways worthies, including David Blagrove and Ron Withey and was produced to celebrate IWA's 60th anniversary, so is probably available from them. Yes, that's the one.

stentor
My partner and her sister were both born on Stentor in 1956 and 1957 so this was just before the boat was sold in 1959 and she is very very sure that the picture of Stentor shown on the title page of the "Walkers of Ricky book" is of her mother and father, with mum doing the steering.
