Do any of you have any recommendations for a boat painting and signwriting Company? Preferably within 30 miles of Nantwich. Whoever previously painted my boat in 2005 did a poor job and rust is breaking through in a number of areas.

The Oxon Boat Painting Co are just about to start work on my boat, bare metal repaint,great attitude and good customer care, with lots of input so far. Examples of their work are good and they carry out a thorough inspection of the boat before starting to ensure that any estimate will be accurate.

 

Might be too far for you, but nice outfit. Also work is being carried out on Steve Goddard's boat 'Siskin' at the same yard - what brilliant steelwork and detail.

You could try Billy and Sheila at Nantwich Canal Centre. If they don't paint themselves I am sure they could recommend someone in the area

Contact has now been made and I'm seeing them on Monday.

Try the Audlem Boat Company at Overwater - they can show you a couple of paint jobs that have just been finished and they have a brilliant sign writer who also does castles and roses workshops.

No one has mentioned Sanderson-Lucas at Wordsley. These are the guys who worked for me over a long period ( John Sanderson for about 17 years ). I handed the business over to them when I decided it was time to go a bit slower !

They are bloody good - or the first bit of this answer wouldn`t have got written ! Signwork and decoration by either myself or my very excellent colleague Meg Gregory.

Another vote for Sanderson-Lucas, they did a fantastic paint job for me earlier this year, I can't recommend them highly enough!
