Old Son
Does anybody know any reason why I can't or shouldn't connect one of these wireless rooms stats to my Eberspacher Hydronic 10 diesel heater? http://www.plumbworld.co.uk/glowarm-rt300rf-wireless-1932-17902 Thanks Edited February 25, 2011 by Old Son
Chalky
Don't know about the boiler, but if you've got a steel bulkhead between the transmitter and receiver you could have some reception problems. £47 would pay for a standard bi-metalic strip thermostat (less to go wrong), a long length of cable and significant amounts of beer. Ark Right
Does anybody know any reason why I can't or shouldn't connect one of these wireless rooms stats to my Eberspacher Hydronic 10 diesel heater? http://www.plumbworld.co.uk/glowarm-rt300rf-wireless-1932-17902 Thanks Hi. Eberspachers don't take too well to thermostats, the constant cycling tends to coke them up quickly. Would be ok if you could couple in a timer to give minimum run time of one hour each time the stat calls for heat, though that would really defeat the object of the thermostat. The use of the Eberspacher mini timer will give the unit the best chance of survival.

Old Son
I can find 240V but I understand the comments and I think it would be best to give it a miss. I dont want the boiler coking up. Thanks for all your replies.
