Sad News from Braunston

People visiting or mooring in Braunston may well know or have seen Dave Odell - Diesel Dave, he worked at the marina and seemed to always have a dog with him, for the last 12 monthss or so a spaniel called Bosun. Dave always dressed in black when working and always wore a trilby type hat. He was often seen helping out in the bar during the working boat weekends, usually protesting loudly. Unfortunately Dave passed away on his boat last Monday night, a real 21st century character who will be missed.

What a shame. Used to see him quite often. Nice chap.
