Very good. Looking forward to less linear moorings..... maybe....

The layout does looks and is tight, but as earlier in the thread is very like the owners previous marina Uplands Marina (formally TravelReign) which have have used for the last 5 years or so and does work well.

It could just be the camera angle but those pontoons looked to have been designed by and laid out by someone who knows nothing about boats rolleyes.gif

How wide are the jetties? They look very narrow in those photos, with insubstantial supports which don't look able to take much sideways load.

When I was down there a few weeks ago they didn't look unusually narrow. The fact you normally can't see the real support height as the are always submerged could give the impression that they are tall and thin. The photos don't give a true impression of the scale of the place... its huge. Much bigger that Uplands I believe: don't quote me on that though as I have not measured either. I don't have a tape measure that long.

Reversing is incredibly easy when the pontoons are occupied both sides. If one of the sides has a gap, however, it makes it much harder.

I must say, never had an issue at uplands. Donk it into slow reverse and just walk it down one side or the other depending on where the gaps are.

The jettys are not huge, but again, there is almost always a boat one side, if not both.

I am not sure that is the marina/company being talked about here.

It is still Travelreign as far as I know

That's my understanding also, the name not being included is the sale of what is now 'Uplands Marina' at anderton.

The internet also describes the site as 'Park Farm Marina'
