Gloucester Museum To Close?

It won't be just volunteers they want but visitors. If people don't go and spend some money it will close.

 

It is a great location for a Waterways museum the docks are superb and to see the museum go from there would be a great shame. I do wonder though if in these times if 3 waterways museum locations can be maintained ie Ellesmere, Stoke Bruerne and Gloucester.

We visited ellesmere boat museum recently and staff were being made redundant ... hardly any staff left by the looks / maintenance of things , we didnt see that many visitors either as last time( we stayed on the boat there both visits ) shame but i think itl close in the near future
