What is happening on the Wey?

Just been for a walk along the Wey into Guildford and there are lots of boats moored up, some with bunting - and carefully marked spaces for many more to arrive. What is happening? Anyone know??!!

Amazing! No obvious signs around the Wey or Guildford - so Google has to fill in the gaps! Thanks for the link.

It's an annual event, and usually pretty good. The parade of (fancy dress) boats is worth a look, not only for the work that's gone into decorating the boats, but the range of abilities when it comes to winding at a bend in the river!

This is an annual event in Guildford and very picturesque.

Just a walk along the towpath for us, so will probably go along.

When I'm not on my boat, then a walk along the Wey at either Guildford or Farncombe is a several times a week event! So I'll doubtless be along there today. What time is the parade???? I really fancy seeing that!

Last year, they had the raft race first, setting off from behind the theatre. The route was quite a long way, out past the sorting office and under the A3. The parade was mid-afternoonish, up where the boats moor above the lock.
