Jo
If you are planning a trip by canal to the Ellesmere Port Museum, then please ring BW first to check, because they are having problems with Duck weed and have put a boom at bridge 147. There are notices posted that from the 19th July for 2 weeks this would be the case, but when we rang on the 4th August to check to see if it had reopened we were told at least another 2/3 weeks further before it would open. I bet the Museum is suffering at this time of the holidays, with no boaters and families being able to get through. Instead you may like to moor at bridge 134 and walk to Chester Zoo instead, a really good day our LOL
