is there some bye law on the oxford re the long term mooring fee if you moor up not on the tow path ?

ive heard a few things from people but never found anything yet :lol:

If you have a, permanent mooring on privately owned land on the offside, you need to have BW's permission, and BW will charge either you, or the landowner, an annual fee equivalent to 50% of the nearest comparable BW mooring.

 

If the mooring is a BW owned or managed mooring on the offside, you need to have a mooring permit issued by BW but there is no 50% discount.

I believe that some of the moorings near Oxford are 'Section ??' or something similar.

 

What it means I have no idea.

 

I expect someone will be along soon with more knowledge than me.
