Just picked up on the following on the "Messenger" newspaper website..

The proposal is to turn the Argos warehouse, on Barton Dock Rd, near to the Trafford Centre into a museum chronicling the history of the Manchester Ship Canal.

 

As it's literally a few foot steps from my work place, and a few more from the Bridgewater Canal in this area I will probably become part of the furniture if this place opens and turns out to be any good!

You will very likely see me there too. Just a pity it's going to be in such a characterless building; I think they've demolished all the historic ones!
