Erberspacher service video

Nice one Squire. I thought it was quite useful.

Mine's been fine for the last 3 years so I don't really want to disturb anything.

Should I wait until it goes wrong to service it or do it anyway to prevent a malfunction?

Hi

Given the tempermental nature of these THINGS I'd stick to the old addage - If it ain't broke, don't fix it !!!!!!

Still haven't sorted mine yet - found a box with fuses and relay and all manner of wires so just checking a few things before I service it.

A good point on the vid is where the guy shows the gaskets are shot so I'd order a set of those before you pull it apart or you could end up with no heat for a few days until they arrive.

I'll be ordering from Ledgard's chandlery as the guy I spoke to seems pretty keen to help which is a bonus these days.

Good luck and if you come across any tips along the way please pass them on.

I don't know if these may be of any use?

Thanks again. Mine's a DW 10 so I'll have a look to see if they have a similar troubleshooting guide for that one.

Greybeard, where did you get that PDF from?

I've been looking for the same troubleshooting/repair guide for the Hydronic DW10 but I can't find it on the Erberspacher downloads page and the bigrtrucker website won't let me on.

Mike

Edit: I've got the installation/operating instructions for the DW10, but I wouldn't mind the troubleshooting/repair guide

Any one know of a similar video (or workshop manual) for a Webasto Thermo Top C ???

Can't help with youtube but are these what you're after.

You'll have to sort through the various languages though!

Bigtrucker's not working so I've attached this link.

Not strictly a d10w troubleshooter but more generic but it may help.

Unfortunately the 23Kw Webasto seems to be a different burner to the smaller Erbaspacher.

Edit. replied on wrong thread!

Got that as well - http://www.spheros.fi/Upload/Documents/Man...pr04_1617kb.pdf

Did a big excercise earlier in year before we bought the boat to try and find as much info as poss on boaty stuff as we were looking at a sailaway so that's why I've got all these manuals and things.

Only probs is my filing is naff so it takes a bit of searching sometimes.

If there's an anorak smiley out there it needs adding to these posts.

Pity I can't save it to the laptop so I don't have to keep going on line.

You can capture video from you tube to watch later. Just type in "how to capture video from you tube" into google. Also there are video's on how to do this on you tube. Again do a search

I use a firefox extension - "download helper"

After i watch it with a player called vlc

It's not too difficult and all the programs you need are free.

I'd email you it but it's 20mb's

Thanks for that Floater,

The only problem now is that I've just gone on to Youtube and the video comes up with a message saying it is no longer available!

I sent a message to the Eberspacher video poster, and about an hour later, it appeared again.

I also Googled for Youtube download tips as suggested by Floater and found what I think is the easiest way of all. I downloaded RealPlayer 11 and now when I look at any Youtube video, a button pops up at the top right of the video asking if you want to download it. It goes straight into the RealPlayer library.

I can now strip my Eberspacher whilst watching the video and leaving it on pause whenever I feel like it. BRILLIANT!!

Thanks for the link Greybeard and the advice Floater. Drinks in the virtual pub all round!:lol: :cheers
