Drinking Water in Northampton

Priston

Featured Posts

When we cruised through Northamptonshire about three weeks ago we were advised to boil drinking water, particularly around Daventry. There is a post on one of the web sites, I think Waterscape advising the same.

We are about to return through this area. Does anyone know if this alert is still valid?

The 'drinking' water in Northampton is always disgusterous - very hard, and makes a barely drinkable brew.

Ah! So you remember 'Stingo', Northampton's strongest ale?

In my opinion it was far more palatable then the 'Imperial Russian Stout' brewed by Courages in Reading . . .
