Has anyone seen this: as a piece of postive PR it takes some beating...

Over 18 miles of canal... (from an original 36 and split into two lengths) and

has lost none of it's appeal to the majority of visitors... (except those who might have rented one of the sixty hire boats or own one of the several hundred private ones)

I'm not critisising BW for the breach: these things happen sadly, but do they really believe this spin?

I'm sure all the local businesses whose trade has suffered so drastically because of the breach are glad BW is doing something rather than nothing at all to try and encourage visitors.

With all the publicity the breach and long term closure has had anyone who doesn't know the area could be forgiven for thinking there was nothing left of the canal at all. Instead from what Waterscape says it sounds like there's plenty worth seeing or doing in a day or longer trip.
