Builder?

Any distinguishing features?

 

A better description, and timing,  of its location when last seen would also help.

So did everyone else!

 

Isn't this the same location we had another missing boat thread about a few years ago? As I recall the boat had been left unattended for months and the owner had no idea when it actually disappeared. I don't think there was any outcome posted to the forum.

IIRC pretty much the same location, not the que sera sera thread. Will see if I can find/remember it. More like a year or two ago ....

Lord someone or other with an unusual stern configuration. It was a bit hard to follow the final story. 

Here we are, Lord Gadbury Plank Lane, beat Que Sera Sera with 18 pages…

I went down the Que Sara Sera rabbit hole a short while ago when we were stuck in traffic on the M25

 

I still wonder what happened to that boat and what the full story really was.

When was it last seen on its mooring? The Rochdale, HNC, Bridgewater and Wigan flight are all currently closed. This severely limits the amount of places it could be. You can cover a lot more ground in a day on a bicycle than on a boat - especially so if you have one of those fancy electric ones. I’d think it would be fairly easy to find a boat in this area compared to some?

If you search the stolen narrowboat posts on the forum you will very quickly realise that to get help from the wonderful people on this forum, you need to provide more detail.

Police number, description, quirky features, when and where last seen are the very minimum requirements. I wish you luck and hope you track it down.

Looks like @Steve Manc was just sharing a screenshot from Facebook or something so probably doesn't actually know any more details than what is in the original post.

 

Unless I'm wrong of course in which case I agree, more info needs to be forthcoming before people actually take note.

I cycle between Worsley and Burscough and I have seen the boat a few times but I need to know when it went missing.

Perhaps someone from the Wiganflightcrew Facebook group would remember if it went up the flight before it closed.

About the 22 of August I think he has spoken to the Wigan Flight crew

The Wigan flight has been closed since the 20th August. 

 

Not wanting to be unhelpful but without accurate info we are all peeing into the wind...
