Water levels

As I sit here i the rain watching the water level slowly rise,  I hope that someone in an office somewhere has made plans for the inevitable floods that will happen somewhere.

 Dont rely on pumps, arrange a fleet of tankers to transport it to the various resevoirs around the country, otherwise this water is going to the sea and although not wasted its not doing any good to anyone.

The rain outside is getting heavier and along the towpath huge puddles are forming, wellingtons anybody.

Severn Trent have plenty of water in reservoirs .

In fact more water than the same time last year

But it always goes out to the sea. It was still going out to sea before it started raining. 

 

I'm afraid a fleet of tankers would just be a drop in the proverbial and literal ocean.

The BBC showed pictures of an empty resevoir, and yes I knew it was going to the sea before the rain but not to excess as I have seen in the past, any water we can redirect will delay the droughts of the future.
