Yes, that's us !

Fortunately the web cam doesn't show that the boat badly needs repainting. It was done in 2002 and despite spending hours trying to remove the caked mud this week she still.looks a bit neglected.

We moor in a Scottish Canals yard and all the dust blows onto the boat

Scottish Canals are very strict about the appearance of boats and have removed some because they looked untidy. Can't see that happening down south 😟

But not on KELPIE.  We are on our baby boat, GAMEBIRD, the Sea Otter.

We are going to an event to celebrate 25 years since the Lowland canals reopened . A short day today from our mooring to Linlithgow where we are moored in the basin watching the world go by. No locks today but lots of beautiful old bridges. The stonework is a lovely sand colour and the original rope marks are still visible on most of them - no " fake " iron ones as seen on some bridges in Englandshire.

No water shortage up here.

Tomorrow we go down the Wheel but before that we go under the Laughin Greetin bridge and through the amazing Falkirk tunnel.

I can take photos with my phone but they are too big to post on here and my technical abilities don't stretch to reducing the size.😃

You may find it’s ok now. The allowance has gone up. I had trouble too but OK now.

Just display the picture on your phone and take a screenshot then post that. It's an easy way round resizing images.

The greetin bridge so called because the contractor who had to build that section had to tunnel through rock as the landowner didn't want a canal going near his housePXL_20260828_111601833.thumb.jpg.8688abdc7b702ebfdaf28b5368db418d.jpg

The last leg back to our mooring, having come up the wheel this morning.

I mentioned the lovely canal bridges on the Union canal and here( hopefully) I a photo of one. The bridge numbers are actually carved in the stone PXL_20260831_131903180_MP.thumb.jpg.a44151edbf5428c9c1fe63147a764d0a.jpg
