Pickup basket and pump for inclined engine one bay

I would want to know exactly what that came out of. BMC did make some genuinely inclined engines for fitting under floor in the EA van, I think. So the listing really should make clear what he means by inclined. I would not call a typical cruiser/yacht installation with a vertical engine installed at a downward for-aft angle inclined.

 

There is also a question of the sump shape, there were a few of those over the years.

 

However, I doubt the pump would be any different on any variations, but the strainer bracket and pipe almost certainly will be. 

 

I also don't understand why the pump has not been measured rather than sold as "believed to be working". That could translate as "it may not be working", but I suppose for £16.50 it might be worth a punt to someone.
