Stratford to Stowe hill ?

Well my planned trip south stratford,Gu hatton ,wigrams,braunston,buckby ,stow hill trip end Aug looks well on the back burner needed to be there end Sept ..wots the chance ??

What is the current impediment to making this trip, please?

I know several lock flights already had strict limit to opening hours, but have some now actually closed?

South stratford closed for some time now. Hatton closes tomorrow. Atherstone closed this week to block one alternative, Leicester line already stopped to block another.

It seems with Hatton and Atherstone as well as the Leicester line all closing the canal network is split almost in two with the only connection between “the North and South”  is down the GU, Thames  K&A then to the G&S on the tidal Severn or vice versa ? (as well as  via the Irish Sea or North sea.)

 

That assumes Braunston and Buckby remain open

And the K&A is open too.

Its not having a very good year this year and has been plagued with stoppages- currently no way through at the moment. Last year was the opposite- went either on or off it from anywhere between Reading to Bristol seven times and it never let me down once!
