MrsM Posted May 30 Report Posted May 30 Just spotted this on Aquavista. Guess it must have had some major issues at survey. For those that don't FB it's a 62' 2001 Hudson called Oxo, with a Gardner 3LW. Reduced from £50k to £25k. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/18s2sZsitA/
Russ T Posted May 30 Report Posted May 30 Its a shame they didn't publish the known defects. One could then make an offer based on the unknown defects🤣
LadyG Posted May 30 Report Posted May 30 (edited) Id guess it will be pricing to sell, else they would fix it and have a new survey. Will suit someone Edited May 30 by LadyG
matty40s Posted May 30 Report Posted May 30 A$♧$ did this with a Hudson a few years ago survey showed massive pitting problems....but put it back on the market and pretended the survey didnt exist.
alan_fincher Posted May 30 Report Posted May 30 That's a strange one! There must be something else seriously wrong with it. (The other thing wrong with it, to my mind, being that it is a Hudson! 😄 ) 1 1

We weren't planning on getting our next boat for a couple of years, but will bring our plans forward if we can sort ownership of Tenacious. 1
Ogwr Posted May 30 Report Posted May 30 No stricture if the engine room or the Gardner, is that the project?
MtB Posted May 30 Report Posted May 30 All a bit puzzling. I thought it seemed a bit cheap when it was £50k. but then I suppose it IS a Hudson…. so like me, everyone else didn’t buy it either !
Wafi Posted May 30 Report Posted May 30 1 hour ago, MtB said: All a bit puzzling. I thought it seemed a bit cheap when it was £50k. It was also a slightly weird layout, iirc, with what looked like a fairly unskilled DIY fitout.

Thought maybe an unsunk one with 3 times the amount of cylinders might appeal.😀 1

He was a dab hand with a paint brush, he dabbed it here, he dabbed it there, he dabbed it everywhere, speed wheel, gear, anything that got in the way 3

We were looking at the time again and it appealed as it had a Kelvin, a PROPER boat engine. The bloke was an engine nut and basically he had a boat built simply to house his HUGE engine, twer about six feet long, twer awesome. What put me off was living bit was so small you had to sleep under the tug deck 😱
