I suggest contacting C&RT with your certificate number which you can see from your C&RT account for the boat , and perhaps they will be able to send you an email with the certificate attached.

Nor me, which is why I asked. Then again, I can be at least as dense as MtB.

I've never found a way to view my certificate without my BSS examiner sending me a PDF copy.  Would be interested where @Mike Tee finds it on the BSS site.

As far as i can see you can check the expiry date on the CRT account, but that's all. As it's just a pass or fail, I presume they're not interested in any further details.

Another line of enquiry might be to ask the surveyor who issued the existing certificate. Although the OP may not have that information if he bought the boat with its current valid  BSS.

I felt sure the last three (at least ) BSS certificates I have had have been pdf only sent by email . A quick search suggest the certificates  became pdf in 2013.

But I always print up a copy and I have a file on the boat for that sort of thing.

When we sold a boat recently the broker requested a copy of the certificate . As I said above, that's how  I found it, but I'm buxxer3d if I can find it now!

I will keep trying..........

OK, I think I've worked out what I did.

When the survey was done the surveyor sent me what I thought was a link to the BSS site, so I used this link to send a copy to the broker - however I think the link was back to the surveyors site, so like everybody said, BSS only let C&RT into their site. Sorry for the confusion!

(Now boatless due to old age, infirmity and apparently confusion)

Thank you for the explanation.
