Is there something about canals which  attracts pigeons ? The last 3 nights when moored at Barbridge, Audlem and Market Drayton we have been serenaded by what sounded like a big  flock of pigeons. Can't remember this from previous trips !

Today was our biggest locking day so far - Most of Audlem and Adderley and I suffered . Anne from Wandering Snail had offered to help but as my breathing had been ok so far we decided to be independent. Not a good idea as I had to retreat onto the boat and Iain did several  on his own  till I got m yh breath back again.

Thank goodness Penkridge is open and we  won't have to go up Wolverhampton !
